Southern literature is iconic, often touching, and sometimes humorous or sad. Return to the South will continue a review and discussion of iconic southern literature. This discussion group will examine southern literature and authors from the standpoint of common themes, rich descriptions, the role of picturesque settings of mountains to the shore, and ways in which memorable characters are built. A list of suggested authors and books will be provided.
