Course Detail: LLPHEART - Eating Right for Heart Health, Lunch and Learn

Heart disease is the leading cause of death in the United States and affects both men, women, and most racial and ethnic groups. Fortunately, there are many diet and lifestyle factors that influence one's risk of heart disease. This course will focus on evidence-based nutrition approaches to help improve heart health and lower one's risk of heart disease. Participants will learn about the foods and nutrients that may be helping (or hurting) their hearts, and steps that they can take to improve their current way of eating. It's never too late (or too early) to start working towards adopting a heart-healthy diet. A heart-healthy lunch will be provided after the discussion to help start you on the path to heart-healthy eating.
