Course Detail: COE108 - Supporting the Digital Natives (A look into electronic vs. print literacy)

Course Overview
Our digital world is rapidly changing and new technologies are being developed every day. With this comes a change in literacy and how our students are reading. As many schools turn to one-on-one computing, students are interacting with digital texts more frequently. In this module participants will look at online versus print text and strategies they can use to help students successfully comprehend no matter the format.

Technology Requirements
  • - The ability to send and receive email with and without attachments
  • - Use a word processing program such as Microsoft Word
  • - Access and navigate the Internet
  • - View video clips from YouTube and other video streaming website.
Credit
10 contact hours or 1.0 CEU
This course may qualify for digital literacy CEUs.
