Course Detail: COE105 - Exploring Character and Characters! Using Literature to Teach Character Education
Course Overview
Participants will explore the combination of character education and literature in the classroom. Participants will learn what character education is and how literature and standards can be a resource for integrating this important topic into their classroom. Additionally, participants will learn about the benefits of Read Aloud lessons with character education, explore the importance of questioning in examining texts, and review resources that can be used to find high quality texts.

Technology Requirements
  • - The ability to send and receive email with and without attachments
  • - Use a word processing program such as Microsoft Word
  • - Access and navigate the Internet
  • - View video clips from YouTube and other video streaming website.
