Course Detail: SIXSIGMAGB - Lean Six Sigma Green Belt Training

Certified Lean Six-sigma Green Belts (LSSGB) increase their value in the eyes of their employers and in the marketplace. They also become advocates and champions leading the charge of cost reduction and increase of revenue for their employers. The ultimate goal of this is to develop personnel who are well-versed in how to increase the productivity in the work place, leading to improved profitability. This LSSGB training has been structured such that the material learned can be applied in multiple industries, including healthcare, insurance, banking, education, business and industry.

The LSSGB body of knowledge (BOK) training consists of 5 days of instruction, with a final review and test for 2 hours on the final day to evaluate the acquired knowledge. On successfully passing this exam, participants are given a certificate to have successfully passed the LSSGB BOK training. Participants will then have 6 months to finish a project based on the DMAIC principles of LSS, and submit to the Continuing Studies Department at East Carolina University a project affidavit in the prescribed format to be certified as a LSSGB. Typically, a Green Belt project conducted for the certification needs to document a potential savings of $50,000 per year after implementation, which needs to be validated by the CEO or CFO of the participant's organization.
