Course Detail: DCS030 - Training & Development Module - Training Program Implementation

This series of modules provides an in-depth overview of training and development. The modules also explore the critical areas of concern for training program planners, discuss basics of mentoring, explain the importance of coaching, and emphasize the need for program evaluations and needs assessments. Those who complete all the modules in the series will receive a certificate in training and development.

Program Implementation picks up after the development stage has been completed. objectives have been written, transfer of learning strategies have been completed, program formats and instructors have been determined, and marketing and budget plans have been set. Program Implementation starts out with the instructional design phase. What types of activities will be included in your training program, and how will each activity help to meet program objectives? Details about facilities and the coordination of onsite events on the day of the program are also included in this unit. This module also includes units on giving presentations, facilitation discussions, and conducting effective training sessions. A major part of any training program is the conclusion, where the facilitator wraps everything up, highlights key points, ensures that goals have been met, and plans for next steps in the program process. This module covers program conclusions and closings as well.

Modules begin the 6th of every month. An email from the Continuing Professional Education Office with login instructions will be sent, you may begin the module upon receiving that email.
