Course Description: Theater Arts Youth Camp

There's no business like show business! Imagine a week filled with learning about theater, writing a script, and participating in a performance at the end of the week. There is no theater experience necessary to join the fun and be a part of a group that makes their own story come alive on stage. Parents/caregivers are invited to join the last 30 minutes of the final day of camp to see the play in action. Ages 10-15.

Camp is Monday-Thursday, 7/14-7/17, 9:00 am-1:00 pm; and Friday, 7/18, 9:00 am - 12:00 pm.

Additional Course Information

Please make sure your child(ren) are fed before camp begins. Food service is not available on campus: students need to bring a sack lunch.

Nacho Ruiz

Biography: Nacho Ruiz graduated from COCC with his AAOT and a certificate in illustration and this coming fall, he will return to school to finish his BFA in theater arts and pursue his dreams of working in New York. Which he has already started! Last summer, he worked as a scenic painter for a theater company in New York, and brought many of those gained talents to Madras High School's production of "A Midsummer Night's Dream". Nacho is directing The Wizard of Oz this summer and is thrilled to bring the arts to Central Oregon!

Students must cancel by contacting our office via phone: (541) 383-7270 or email: ceinfo@cocc.edu. Cancellations received 5 days prior to the start of the class will receive a full refund. Full refunds are also issued for classes cancelled by COCC. Refunds will be issued back to your card or in the form of a check and mailed within two weeks of the cancellation date if paid by check or cash. Failure to participate in a course or program does not result in a refund. Exceptions to the general refund policy are noted in the course descriptions on our website and in the printed schedule.
