Biography: In 1998, Kelly Dunn became a certified yoga and mat Pilates instructor and has taught for Portland Community College, Tualatin Hills Parks and Recreation, Washington County Employee Wellness and Central Oregon Community College. She also started her own business -Breath of Life Yoga and Fitness- and held classes at the Forest Grove Grange Hall for 8 years before relocating to Central Oregon in 2006 and beginning her journey with COCC. Her favorite thing about instructing is getting to know all of her wonderful students and creating classes that meet their current needs while encouraging them to explore just beyond their comfort level and grow their practice. When she's not working or teaching, she enjoys attending fitness and wellness trainings, traveling, kayaking, hiking and just hanging out with her husband and 2 silly dogs. She also has a passion for planning and instructing wellness retreats, especially at the Oregon Coast.

Classes by this instructor


Pilates exercises are performed on the floor using a yoga mat to support your body and movement. This class focuses on building core strength, improving balance, coordination, muscle tone and flexibility. Designed for beginners, the class also offers adaptations and progressions for intermediate and advanced students, ensuring everyone is challenged at their own level. Yoga mat is required, and will be provided for students who do not have one.

Pilates-based core work is seamlessly woven into a gentle yoga flow, creating a healing sequence of movement and breath that reduces stress and releases tension while improving mobility and stability.
