Biography: Steve J. Giardini is a Bend-based professional outdoor photographer with over a decade of experience. Steve is an artist, educator, speaker, and photo workshop instructor. In addition to photography, his is resume includes 25+ years of community college teaching experience on a variety of subjects. Steve's photographs have been published in local, national and international magazines, and prints of his photos are on display in homes, businesses and art galleries around Oregon. Beautiful Photos: Youth Camp
Awaken your child's creative expression with Photography! This is a hands-on photography camp taught by professional photographers, Steve Giardini and Matt Adams. Each student will receive a digital camera to use during camp, and take home at the end of camp. Students will practice taking action shots, portrait photos, nature and expressive photos, and abstract photos. The instructor will review photos each day, providing feedback and guidance. Students will have the opportunity to be inspired by professional photography at its best, and learn how the photographer captured each shot! At the end of the week, students will receive an album of the each student's best photos to take home. For students aged 10-15.

Gelli Art Printmaking Youth Camp
Gelli plate printing is a non-mechanical printmaking technique that allow students to work with a variety of art materials and be creative in the classroom. In this camp students will apply acrylic paints onto a gel plate with a roller, and use stencils and textured materials like leaves, feathers, netting, and bubble wrap to craft individual print pieces. On the final day, students will select their favorite prints for a gallery show for parents. Taught by professional photographer, Steve Giardini. Ages 10-15.

Professional photographer Steve Giardini will teach you how to create captivating compositions, achieve well-balanced exposures, and apply best-practice editing techniques to enhance your photos. This course is designed for photo enthusiasts who understand camera operations and are familiar with basic exposure concepts. Students must have the following equipment for this course: digital camera with interchangeable lenses and a tripod; and a portable computer or tablet with an Adobe Lightroom or equivalent photo editing software subscription. Learn how to create dynamic photographs of the night sky, Milky Way, and stars. Professional photographer Steve Giardini will teach you exposure techniques, the planning process, and best editing practices. This course is designed for photography enthusiasts who understand basic camera operations and exposure controls. Students must have the following equipment for this course: digital camera with interchangeable lenses. A wide-angle lens and tripod are essential, and a portable computer or tablet with an Adobe Lightroom or equivalent photo editing software subscription. Contact the instructor if you have questions. The field session will take place near Sparks Lake along the Cascade Highway. To capture night sky photos, the sky must be mostly clear. Since there is no guarantee that the sky will be clear on the scheduled field session night, two alternate nights have been scheduled. Students must self-transport to field session(s).
