DESCRIPTION:Event Description:\n\nG169: Field Geology - Exploration of the PNW\n\nThis course explores locations of geologic interest throughout the Pacific Northwest and meets for a multi-day overnight field trip to a selected location within a day's drive. This is a non-credit Community Education course, taken with credit students. You will not receive college credit.\n\nClass meets for orientation on Wednesday June 24th via Zoom from 5:30 pm to 6:30 pm. Class meets in-person on Thursday, July 16 at 2:30 pm at Middleton Science Center on COCC's Bend Campus. Field trip will go to the Oregon Coast; Beverly Beach Campground. Depart from Bend Thursday, July 16th, 2:30pm, return late Sunday, July 19th. Transportation provided by COCC vans. Expect uneven surfaces, carry a backpack with food and water, be prepared for challenging weather conditions.
