Course Description: ENG 250: Introduction to Folklore and Mythology

This course surveys and compares representative texts from world mythology and folklore. Explores common mythological and folkloric themes and genres. Examines mythology as an interdisciplinary field that incorporates anthropology, sociology, history, literary studies, psychology, and religion. This is a college-level course. Although assignments, tests, and quizzes are optional for Community Education students, you will be expected to fully participate. A textbook may be required for this course. Please check with the COCC Bookstore. This is a non-credit Community Education class. You will not receive college credit.

Full refunds are also issued for classes cancelled by COCC.
