DESCRIPTION:Event Description:\n\nWildcrafting Central Oregon Herbs\n\nWondering what medicinal herbs grow in Central Oregon?  This class will teach us how to identify and use medicinal plants. We will learn about how to ethically wildcraft herbs, which herbs are poisonous, and how Native People traditionally used plants. This class includes a lecture on local plants and culminates in a trip to Lookout Mountain to identify plants in their native habitat. The hike is moderate 3.0-3.5, with gains between 1,000-1,500 ft in elevation. Students are responsible for their own transportation to field location.\n\nClass on 6/25 is a field trip to Lookout Mountain to identify plants in their native habitat.
