Course Detail: Fundamentals of Woodworking
Sharpen your woodworking skills. This class is designed for the beginning woodworking student. Learn universal woodworking basics including shop safety, sharpening, tool use and maintenance, wood selection, and more. In this small class, your individual project and skills receive special attention. Take advantage of this opportunity to work in a generously equipped wood shop alongside an instructor who has extensive experience and the tool collection of a professional furniture maker. The term project will be making a bench. This project places emphasis on band saw skills, cutting tapered and angled boards, recessing screws and plugging the holes.
