Sydney Azevedo has always enjoyed figuring out the mechanics of how things work, so it wasn't a surprise to her that she found interest in computers later in life. At 11 years old, Sydney's parents placed computer software on their computer that limited the time she spent on it. Sydney proceeded to spend the little time she had on the computer researching ways to bypass her login. Excited about her accomplishments, she told her uncle who is a computer scientist. Surprised at what she had done, he helped turn her determination to have more computer time into learning to how computers work. Since then, Sydney has graduated from Central Oregon Community College with her Associates Degree in Computer and Information Systems and is completing her Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology at the Oregon Institute of Technology.

She has taught the Technology Youth Camps at Central Oregon College for the last 3 years. The classes teach middle school students how to program using languages like Python, HTML, CSS, JavaScript and Java. She teaches additional classes where students learn Virtual Realty, Lego Robotics and game building.
