Course Detail: Basic Life Support (BLS) Renewal
Be assured and confident in your BLS skills. Basic Life Support training reinforces healthcare professionals' understanding of the importance of early CPR and defibrillation, basic steps of performing CPR, relieving choking, and using an AED; and the role of each link in the Chain of Survival.

This new BLS renewal is open to anyone who has a current, unexpired AHA BLS certification. You must show your current BLS certification to your instructor at class. You will not be allowed to take the class and you will not receive a refund if you arrive at class without your certification.

The American Heart Association requires each student to have access to their own current AHA textbook prior to, during and after their CPR course. If you do not have access to a current AHA textbook for the course you are taking, you must purchase one. The BLS Provider Manual is available to purchase through Continuing Education online registration. Books must be picked up at the COCC Continuing Education Office at 1027 NW Trenton Ave, Bend, during open hours. BLS Provider Manuals are non-refundable.
