Micro Course Information: SPIR122 - The Christian Compass: Exploring Prayer and Action

Participants in this course explore foundational Catholic teachings on prayer as relationship, revealed by Jesus in the gospels. Next, participants identify models of growth in prayer, beginning with Catholic teachings on human dignity and the human person as "beloved." Finally, participants correlate maturity in prayer with both transformed interpersonal relationships and contemplation in action. The course goals are to identify characteristics of participants' own development in prayer as seen through a Catholic point of view and grow in self-knowledge about how their spiritual lives shape their interpersonal and social responsibilities.
