Miquel Jackson
Biography: Miquel Jackson has a Master in Management degree with an emphasis on Organizational Diversity & Inclusion Leadership. Since graduating with his Bachelor's in Sociology in 2011, he has been heavily involved in the community in Dubuque, Iowa. Through being the Vice President of the Dubuque NAACP for over 7 years, a Human Rights Commissioner for over 9 years (serving two terms as the Vice Chair), Chair of the Dubuque Community Police Relations Committee for over 2 years, and Chair of the Equal Opportunity Committee for Dubuque County, Miquel works tirelessly to address and rectify systemic issues within the Dubuque Community. Miquel has facilitated conversations on Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) for organizations such as the Dubuque Community School District, Please Pass the Love, Boys Scouts for America, Community Foundation for Greater Dubuque, and the Fountain of Youth. Miquel brings amazing energy and perspective to these conversations just as he does within the community. Since 2018, Miquel has been working as a Home/school Liaison at Lincoln Elementary. Prior to this, he worked for over five years as a Social Worker at Lutheran Services in Iowa performing Behavior Health Intervention Services (BHIS) for Dubuque County families. He also coached the defensive line for the Clarke University football team through May 2021.
