Keyah Levy
Biography: Keyah Levy currently serves as the Inaugural Vice President for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion with Simpson College in Indianola. Prior to Simpson, Levy served as Director of Multicultural Education and Gender and Sexuality Services at the University of Northern Iowa. Before transitioning to higher education, Levy served as Community Health Coordinator for Wheaton Franciscan Healthcare (MercyOne), where she provided identity specific resources to underrepresented populations, and education to medical providers. Levy earned her undergraduate degree in Interdisciplinary Studies - Health Science from the University of Iowa and her Master's degree in Community Health Promotion from the University of Northern Iowa with a certificate in Global Health and Health Disparities. Ms. Levy is currently pursuing her doctorate in education from the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse, specializing in student affairs administration and leadership. In 2016, Ms. Levy was one of two recipients of the Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Achievement Award for the State of Iowa, and in 2019 she was a recipient of the 20 under 40 award for Waterloo, Iowa.
