Micro Course Detail: GASR120 - Understanding Diversity to Build Empathy

"Diversity and Inclusion" is a hot topic in many organizations, but oftentimes it is difficult to move "beyond the buzz words" to action that helps individuals gain a deeper understanding of themselves and of the people with whom they work. In this micro course, you will explore factors that affect your conscious and unconscious thoughts and develop strategies for building empathy and reducing bias in your workplace.

After successfully completing this micro course, you'll be able to:

  1. Assess your own values and attitudes concerning various types of human diversity.
  2. Examine the impact of prejudice, discrimination, and bias in professional settings and in society.
  3. Develop strategies for working with human diversity in your own workplace.

This micro course is 100% online, features 15 hours of engaging content, and is self-paced over 4 weeks (September 1-28).  You will receive access to the micro course on September 1, but you are free to work through the material when it works best in your schedule!
