Micro Course Information: LDEM121 - Navigating Change

Change is hard. It is also inevitable. These fast-changing times require us to be nimble and able to adapt. This micro course will cover types of change and their effects on self and others. You will learn how to manage and/or cope with change personally and develop ways to lead others through change. This micro course will focus on navigating change as an opportunity, rather than a threat. 

After successfully completing this micro course, you'll be able to:
  • - Describe the inevitable reason for change in an organization
  • - Identify the leader's role in change management
  • - Define ways to engage in change to ensure a positive outcome


Micro Course Outline

Unit 1 - Be introduced to change management and related processes, and explore the difference between developmental, transitional, and transformational change.

Unit 2 - Study three common models for managing change and its effects.

Unit 3 - Explore how you can help others accept and embrace change and learn how to best communicate changes and their impacts to stakeholders.

Unit 4 - Learn about "change mindset" and strategies for making you a change role model who is agile, prepared, and ready to embrace change.
