Course detail: Rope Rescue Technician - NFPA 2021

Rope Rescue Technician is a five-day (40 hour) certification course is designed to meet NFPA 1006, 2021 Edition, Chapters 5.3 Rope Rescue Technician level. This course covers victim movement on rope, litter tender operations, high lines, and ascending/descending on a natural or manmade structures. The course format includes lectures and hands-on application of skills on planned structures or natural environments involving strenuous physical activity and the ability of the student to work at heights.

Prerequisites:
Rope Rescue Operations, or Rope Rescue Technician: Level 1

Special Info:
Personal protective equipment is to be furnished by the student and includes an OSHA or ANSI approved helmet with chin strap (fire helmets okay), clean leather work gloves (firefighting gloves are not appropriate), durable work clothes (no tank tops or shorts), duty boots or athletic shoes.
