Overview

This course provides students with an overview and understanding of the dynamics, issues, and organizations that comprise the concept of Unmanned Aircraft (UA). The course is designed to provide students with a solid education on the critical components of UA and their operations. This course covers the basic facets for UA flying safety, airspace operations and general system knowledge. Final focus covers human factors, basic accident prevention, and the roles of various government and industry organizations in safe operations.

Learning Objectives

Upon completion of this course, the participants will:

  • Be equipped with relevant knowledge of the Air Navigation Act (ANA), ANR-101 and other associated advisory circulars for the safe and responsible operation of UA
  • Be equipped with basic aeronautical and technical knowledge of UA including the functionality of various UAS components and systems
  • Be equipped with the necessary knowledge to ensure safe UAS operation. including required procedures and safeguards; and human performance affecting safe UA operations

Requests to withdraw made after this deadline are not eligible for any refund; however, a one-time transfer to the next session may be possible. Requests to withdraw should be sent by

In the rare case that a course has low enrollment and needs to be canceled, we'll do our best to let you know as soon as possible. If this happens, you'll receive a full refund (100%) or can transfer to the next session or similar course.
