Course Description: Tai Chi

Numerous scientific studies confirm the benefits of practicing Tai Chi. Benefits include increased flexibility, balance, and strength. Often referred to as a "moving meditation," Tai Chi may also lower blood pressure and reduce stress. International Tai Chi Champion Master JianFeng Chen will help you start your journey of internal energy movement with the 8 and 24 Yang styles using humor, Eastern philosophy, and practical application. This environment provides a supportive community for both beginners and advanced students to enjoy the benefits of Tai Chi. As part of your Tai Chi registration, you may also attend Qigong on Saturdays to learn more about energy flow.

Schedule: Class meets Tuesdays, 4/16 to 5/14 from 6:30-7:30 pm. Optional Qigong class meets on Saturdays, 4/20, 4/27, 5/4, and 5/11, from 9:00-9:45 am.

Cancellation Policy

Students must cancel by contacting our office via phone: (541) 383-7270 or email: ceinfo@cocc.edu. Cancellations received 5 days prior to the start of the class will receive a full refund. Full refunds are also issued for classes cancelled by COCC. Refunds will be issued back to your card or in the form of a check and mailed within two weeks of the cancellation date if paid by check or cash. Failure to participate in a course or program does not result in a refund. Exceptions to the general refund policy are noted in the course descriptions on our website and in the printed schedule.
